Flocks and Stocks—The Art of Paul Bartlett
Project Puffin Visitor Center's summer art show 2009 features the works of Scottish artist Paul Bartlett.

ART AUCTION TO BENEFIT PROJECT PUFFIN
at HOG ISLAND

Clifftop Puffins On July 26th Project Puffin will host a benefit art auction to help support its program to protect and restore puffins and other Maine seabirds. The event will be held on Audubon’s Hog Island sanctuary in Muscongus Bay. This is the only public event to be held at this magnificent setting this summer. The proceeds from this auction will help to support the student interns that live on the islands.

Scottish artist Paul Bartlett is the featured artist. His creative and engaging mixed-media collages of puffins and other seabirds have been exhibited widely in Europe, but this is the first showing of his art in the United States. He will be present at the auction to discuss his work and the 28 pieces of art that will be auctioned. Mr. Bartlett’s art is presently on exhibit at Project Puffin Visitor Center, 311 Main Street in Rockland. His art will be auctioned by Kaja Viellieux of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries. Other unusual gift items will also be available.

Tickets for the auction are $25.00 each and include boat transportation to and from Hog Island as well as beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Seating is limited and reservations must be made in advance by calling 207-596-5566 or 1-877-4 PUFFINS, FMI contact Susan Meadows smeadows@audubon.org. To donate wildlife art or services to benefit Project Puffin, contact Susan Schubel at sschubel@audubon.org. A portion of each purchase is tax-deductible.
